Warranty

Lumacast, Inc. offers products backed by a non-transferable limited warranty and robust customer support services for your convenience. Many elements of our products are handcrafted, hand-finished, and utilize natural materials, leading to slight differences in color, finish, and dimensions. All items evolve and age naturally over time, influenced by factors such as usage, heat, and flame. These transformations are integral to the item’s character as a fire feature. Lumacast, Inc. retains the authority to implement minor changes without prior notification.

Residential: Applies to private homes used primarily as personal residences, where the fire feature is for non-commercial use.

Commercial: Includes multifamily residential properties, hospitality settings (e.g., hotels, resorts), shopping centers, business complexes, and any property used for commercial purposes.
Short-term rental properties—including those listed on Airbnb, VRBO, Wander, or similar platforms—are considered commercial, regardless of frequency or duration of rental use.

Lumacast, Inc. ("Lumacast") warrants to the original purchaser ("Purchaser") that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for the following periods from the date of purchase:

a) Residential – Retail
  • Three-year warranty on the concrete shell and Lumacast-produced accessories (aluminum and wood-faced composite tabletops).
  • One-year warranty on third-party accessories (e.g., all-weather covers, glass wind guards, propane kits).
b) Commercial – Retail
  • One-year warranty on all components, including the concrete shell, Lumacast-produced accessories, and third-party accessories.
c) Residential – Outlet
  • One-year warranty on all components, including the concrete shell, Lumacast-produced accessories, and third-party accessories.
d) Commercial – Outlet
  • One-year warranty on all components, including the concrete shell, Lumacast-produced accessories, and third-party accessories.

If a product fails due to defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period, Lumacast will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the product using new or refurbished parts, or
  • Replace the product with a new or refurbished unit
(Limited to one replacement per warranty period.)

This warranty applies only to manufacturing defects. It does not extend to damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow Lumacast's care and use guidelines.

a) Improper Installation and Site Conditions

It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser or their contractor to ensure the unit is installed on a level, stable, and fully supported surface capable of bearing the unit’s weight. Installation on soft or unstable surfaces—such as decomposed granite (DG), artificial turf, soil, or lawn—without a reinforced or compacted sub-base may result in settling, stress, or cracking.
Structural damage caused by these conditions, including concrete creep, warping, or cracking, is not covered under this warranty.

b) Surface Aging and Hairline Cracks

Normal wear and tear, including changes in color, texture, or finish, is not covered. Non-structural hairline cracks may occur as part of the natural curing and aging process of concrete and are not considered defects.

c) Weather Exposure

In regions with extreme weather, including snow accumulation, use of a Lumacast all-weather cover is required for warranty coverage. Covers are sold separately.
Scorching, discoloration, or surface degradation resulting from repeated or prolonged use in high-wind environments is considered environmental wear and is not covered.

d) Infill Materials and Fire Media

Damage caused by improper installation or use of infill materials (e.g., smooth basalt) is not covered.

  • Installation stones must be inspected prior to use. Any with cracks or imperfections must be discarded.
  • Stones may pop or shatter when heated if not properly vetted.
  • Stones must be used only with approved gas or ethanol systems, in clean, dry conditions, and must not obstruct the burner ports or nozzles.

Lumacast is not responsible for warranty coverage, maintenance, or repair of parts sourced from third-party manufacturers. All claims for third-party components should be directed to the respective brand. Please note that most manufacturers require their products to be covered when not in use to remain eligible for warranty coverage.
