01 — Form
Concrete in Motion
CRESTA’s six-sided obelisk quietly rotates as it rises, expanding through its center before narrowing again to its original dimensions. At an almost human scale, its broader center gives the form a subtle sense of presence and softness. Light travels across its changing planes, reshaping highlights and shadows as you move around it. Refined casting and hand-finishing articulate these subtle transitions, allowing light and shadow to reveal its changing geometry.
CRESTA is an exploration of form, material, and craft, giving solid concrete an unexpected sense of softness and movement.

Three sizes
Nested to scale.
Designed to exist between architecture, landscape, and art, CRESTA can stand alone as a sculptural focal point or be incorporated into a garden or interior setting. Available in three sizes, CRESTA can be nested to create sculptural compositions at multiple scales.
Each CRESTA can proudly anchor its surroundings, while multiple Monoliths can be composed together as a family. When grouped, their rotating geometries interact, creating changing relationships between form, negative space, light, and shadow.

02 — Making
Debuting at ASLA 2026
CRESTA reflects a design philosophy that has shaped LUMACAST from the beginning: where computational design and advanced fabrication meet the craft of cast concrete.
The geometry begins digitally, but the finished object remains deeply physical. Each CRESTA is cast, refined, polished, and finished by hand—reflecting our continued pursuit of perfection in high-performance concrete.
The result feels both engineered and organic—precise in its construction, yet fluid in its expression.

03 — Lineage
A Southern California Sculptural Concrete Tradition
CRESTA draws inspiration from Southern California’s rich history of concrete sculpture, including the work of Malcolm Leland and a generation of artists who explored concrete as a medium for form, texture, experimentation, and light.
CRESTA carries that spirit forward through a contemporary lens, using rotation, curvature, and computational design to explore what concrete can become today.
