PLEASE NOTE

  • The electronic ignition systems by Fire By Design are exclusively available to clients purchasing a new fire feature or to existing LUMACAST product owners. Regrettably, due to demand constraints, we cannot facilitate individual sales outside of these parameters. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

  • The ignition system requires an external switch that energizes the line for ignition. This switch is not included with the purchase of a LUMACAST fire feature, nor is it located on the fire feature itself.

  • The electronic ignition systems can only be activated (ignited) when they receive energy from a direct input in the circuit system. They cannot ignite autonomously.

  • For safety and operational efficacy, a licensed trade professional must handle the final installation of the electronic ignition system. This is mandatory, as per the manufacturer's guidelines, regardless of the chosen delivery method, including our White Glove Delivery option.

WORKFLOW VIDEO

Get your LUMACAST fire feature running with the flip of a switch, or integrate your fire feature into your existing Lutron (or similar) system for smart home connectivity.

The onboard controller works in tandem with the thermopile sensor to compensate for the effects of wind with speeds up to 50mph. This greatly increases the performance of your LUMACAST fire feature in windy environments.

These Electronic ignition systems must be installed by a licensed professional.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

  • The manufacturer, Fire By Design, warranties these electronic ignition systems for one (1) year for commercial and three (3) years for residential applications provided the product has not been modified, abused, misused, or improperly installed, maintained, and/or repaired during such period.

Fire by Design Inc, at its discretion, will either repair or replace the defective product. Natural aging of finishes is expected; therefore, these changes in patina over time are not considered defects. The Original purchasing information such as an invoice, or product serial number is required on all warranty returns.

  • The use of an all-weather cover and or tabletop insert during inclement weather is required to preserve the longevity of your electronic system and its components.

  • Curbside freight: Available within the contiguous United States. Depending on the final destination, please allow up to an additional week for transit.

White glove service: White glove service is available year-round for residential projects within California and seasonally for projects located in Arizona, Colorado, Southern Nevada, and Utah. Our team will deliver and carry your fire feature into your outdoor living space and place it in its final position.

We are happy to provide complimentary installation and finalize all connections as long as your plumbing has been prepared to our required specifications by a licensed professional in advance of your delivery.

Self-pickup from warehouse: Ideal for projects in San Diego, Riverside, or Orange County. Pick up your product from our warehouse in the Logan Heights neighborhood for free.

For projects in Alaska, Hawaii, any U.S. Territory, or abroad: Lumacast will ship your product to a regional distributor. From there, you are responsible for arranging the necessary transport to get your product to its final destination. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

  • When combining an electronic ignition system with our tabletops—Aluminum or hardwood, please take precautions to not unintentionally or accidentally ignite your fire feature with those in place.

The electronic ignition system cannot differentiate if a tabletop is in place and will ignite when powered to do so.

If accidentally ignited with the top in place, they will most likely suffer irreparable damage and need to be replaced. Your fire feature can also see damage from overheating with the flames running within a confined space.
